Our Organization
Helping Foster Children Since 2002
Arizonans for Children Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide support, resources, and meaningful opportunities for abused, abandoned, and neglected children in foster care.
As of December 2025, there are more than 8,927 children in foster care in Arizona. While removing children from unsafe family settings provides needed protection, entering foster care does not guarantee a normal childhood.
For many children, the journey includes multiple moves, inconsistent caregiving, emotional trauma, and feelings of isolation. AFC works to bring comfort, connection, and stability to children navigating these difficult circumstances.

Why This Work Matters
Children entering foster care often arrive during one of the most uncertain and painful times of their lives. AFC helps create moments of normalcy, joy, connection, and encouragement through programs that meet practical, emotional, and social needs.
Whether through a safe family visit, a trusted mentor, a birthday celebration, or a simple item a child can call their own, each act of support helps remind a child that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
