Helping Children, Families, and Communities Stay Connected
Arizonans for Children offers programs that provide stability, connection, and support for children in foster care and families navigating difficult circumstances.
Our mentor program provides children in foster care with a consistent and stable role model, while our visitation centers offer safe, comfortable spaces for families to spend meaningful time together.
Tutor/Mentor Program
Arizonans for Children matches children in foster care, ages 5 to 18, with qualified volunteer mentors from the community.
Mentors are background checked and commit to supporting a child for at least one year. During their time together, mentors and mentees may work on activities, school support, life skills, or other projects based on the child’s needs.
Visitation Centers
Our two visitation centers provide safe, homelike environments where parents can visit with their children.
Families have access to playground areas, dining spaces, toys, books, snacks, activities, and other comforts designed to make visits feel supportive, welcoming, and dignified.
Foster Care Visits
A key part of helping Arizona children who have been removed from their homes is helping them maintain contact with their siblings and parents. Our visitation centers provide safe and comfortable spaces for these visits to take place.
If you are a parent, case aide, or agency representative interested in beginning services at one of our centers, please contact us to learn more.
Custodial / Family Court Visits
The Children’s Visitation Centers provide an opportunity for children and non-custodial parents to have safe, scheduled contact in a conflict-free environment.
During supervised visits, qualified staff observe family interactions and provide detailed observation reports. Our goal is to support ongoing, healthy relationships between children and non-custodial parents.
