ARIZONANS FOR CHILDREN, INC.

CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY FOR

TUTOR/MENTOR VOLUNTEERS

Confidentiality is one of the most important things about being a volunteer at Arizonans for Children! Anything that you learn about a client must be kept to yourself. You will be given information on the nature of the allegations that resulted in children being removed from their biological families, medical and psychological information, the names and ages of family members and any special concerns and may at times overhear discussion regarding children who are wards of the court. You must not discuss the case with anyone unconnected with Arizonans for Children. If your case bothers you, please talk with the Tutor/Mentor Program Director or your Outreach Coordinator. Also, please remember that the names, addresses and telephone numbers of foster parents, group homes, children’s school locations or other parties involved must not be given out!

PLEDGE OF CONFIDENTIALITY

I promise that I shall hold in confidence all case information. I will not violate the confidential relationship between Arizonans for Children, Inc., its volunteers, DCS and its related agencies, the Court and all parties involved.

I accept full responsibility for maintaining the confidential and private nature of all records and information. I understand that I am personally responsible and liable for any violation of this agreement.
